I loved having the opportunity to work with this God-fearing, beautiful, Lansing family of five (six, if we count their cute puppy!) and take their family pictures. They had so many fun ideas we just kept going and going at their session! Most of my family sessions take 30-40 minutes, although I always allot an hour to be safe, but I may have gone over by about 30 minutes for these guys! Time flies when you’re having fun, right?!
Have you heard of Building TwentyOne before? B21 is an amazing organization started by Ben Schartow (dad in all of these portraits) of Lansing, MI. He started the organization with the goal of giving kids a safe place to go after school to keep them off the streets. Please read all about b21 here. I think it takes a special family to dedicate their entire life to creating a positive youth culture. The Lansing and surrounding communities are blessed to have families like the Schartows among us.
More families should end their sessions with a water flight like these guys did!
