Pablo and Heather came to me with the desire to have a couples portrait session. We pre-scheduled and ended up with the most incredible snowy day! It was soooo cold, but it was soooo worth it for these unique and gorgeous memories! So many photographers don’t do on-location portraits in the winter, and let me tell you, I completely, 100%, know why—- it’s m.i.s.e.r.a.b.l.e. But, I don’t care how cold it gets; for me, the end result always totally makes up for having ten very cold fingers, snow in my boots, chapped skin, and a host of other winter discomforts. If Michigan had snow every day for it’s entire winter, I wouldn’t miss out on a single opportunity to be out there capturing such crisp, beautiful, unique moments for people. Winter portraits take my breath away in a way that warmer weather portraits never will.
