Senior Model Featured Session: A Girl, a Horse, a Softball, and a Stolen Portrait {Grand Ledge, MI Senior Pictures}

If you follow my blog at all, or my facebook page, then you’ve seen this absolutely lovely girl before. Ashton has been my model for the past couple of years and has already completed a couple of sessions with me! I’ve featured her first session, but not her second. Here, I am going to feature both, partly because both are fabulous, and partly because there is some info that needs to be spread regarding one of the photos from her first session.

Ashton is a talented softball player so for her 2013 session, we decided to incorporate her sport into her photos. I played around with the lighting a bit for some different effects in her photos, and chose a very basic backdrop so as not to distract. These are so much fun! I love that Ashton even brought the black paint to smudge onto her cheeks! You rock, Ashton!

Ashton brought a couple of casual outfits as well, so of course we used those too! Ya certainly don’t have to twist my arm to get me to take a few more photos! Look at those cute leggings? Love ’em!

Ashton, you pull of that hi-lo skirt so perfectly! Love the color as well.

Both of Ashton’s sessions were so much fun and resulted in some fabulous photos! Her first session was done at the barn, inside and out.

Did you know that one of Ashton’s photos is famous? Yep! It is. The middle photo below of her and Arrow in the pasture is famous. It has gone viral all over the world, which is amazing!! The down-side? This photo was stolen. Nobody knows this photo was taken by me or who it’s of. People have taken it and added their own quotes to it and shared it all over the place. It may seem like no big deal, but when you’ve poured your entire being into creating something amazing for your client to cherish forever, and it is stolen, it’s like being slapped in the face over and over and over again. If you happen upon this photo in your internet adventures, please do Ashton and I a favor and post a link back to this blog post (http://seniorpictureslansingmi.com/?p=2102) so credit can be given where credit it due. Thank you! And, thank you so very much to those who have already been crediting me and informing me when they happen across Ashton’s photo being used on other websites, blogs and facebook pages. You are all amazing! xoxo
