Ooooh Hanna. How do I even describe how much I love your senior pictures? I can’t. It’s just not possible. Hanna may not know this yet, but she has an entire wall in my studio dedicated just to her and Fancy. That is how much these photos of her and Fancy speak to me.
When Hanna told me her dream for her senior pictures, I got goosebumps. I never in my life imagined one of my seniors would ever ask me to photograph something so amazing as them on the beach with their horse. I am not just an average senior photographer anymore… I am a senior photographer who makes your dreams come true. Hanna and Fancy showed that to me. I’ve always poured my heart into my sessions and worked hard to give my seniors exactly what they want, but I had never seen it this way until now. Assisting my amazing, wonderful clients in making their dreams come true is truly the best gift I could ever give them, and myself. Yes, it feels like I’m giving myself a gift too. I know that sounds ridiculous, but really, it is an indescribable feeling.
I just love every single picture of Hanna and Fancy. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
Quick outfit change and more beach photos in that gorgeous summer sunshine.
These turned out to be some of Hanna’s family’s favorites. Hanna had just picked up that dress while on vacation with her family and it couldn’t have been more perfect for these photos!
Hanna’s mom picked this outfit out for her. Way too cute! I love it!
What would a senior session be with out some cowgirl boots and hat? Especially when you have such a deep love for horses. I love how we played with the light in these to give Hanna some more variety!
Hanna plays soccer too! She’s a well-rounded girl and I bet none of her friends have their soccer pictures on the beach. They aren’t as cool as she is, that’s for sure.
The sun is setting. When I have my camera in hand, this is hands-down one of my favorite times of day. I am in love with these photos, particularly the one Hanna riding Fancy down the beach. My heart pretty much stopped the first time I saw that photo.
And now for the most beautiful time of sunset- when the sun is almost gone. We literally had like two minutes to get these photos. The water was kind of cold, but Hanna didn’t care! She was all over this idea! I just love how my seniors will do anything for a great photo! It’s pretty clear the best seniors is all of the Greater Lansing area come to me.
Two words, Hanna: YOU ROCK!
Thanks so much to Kelly for carrying tons of heavy equipment around and working my lighting for me throughout all of Hanna’s session. Thanks to Hanna’s amazing dad for being so helpful with Fancy the entire day, and to her mom and dad for being so supportive of Hanna’s dream and helping her make it come true. Your willingness to drive Fancy all the way to Lake Michigan and back for this is something to be applauded for. There need to be more parents like the two of you in the world. No wonder Hanna is such a wonderful person!
